SCRABBLE
Scrabble is an internationally recognized game. It is a word game which improves intellectual capabilities of a person. It is specially recommended for school children because it enhances the English knowledge of the students.
Though scrabble was originally started at Sacred Heart Convent several years ago, practices under a well trained coach, was started only 2 years back. At present nearly 100 students engage in scrabble. Every year students participate in the tournaments organized by the Royal College scrabble Club and also the Southern Province Scrabble League.
Dulmini Hettiarachchi became the champion of the under 15 age group in the tournament organized by the SPSL(Southern Province Scrabble League) in 2007.
Manikshini De Silva became the champion of under 13 age group in the tournament organized by the SPSL in 2008.
