SCHOOL RULES

  • No children may remain in school after 1.30 p.m., unless they have to wait for transport, have some special work or a lesson, but they are encouraged to attend meetings have sports practices  or engage themselves in such activities, after school.
  • School bell is rung at 7.20a.m. To begin school. By that time all the children must be in school. At the beginning of school and at the end of the interval, at the first sound of the bell all the children must move into their lines quickly, and at the second bell they will become silent and start moving into their class rooms, only at the second sound of third bell. At the beginning of each new lesson after greeting their teachers, a moment of silence will be observed, so as to be better prepared for the lesson.
  • Children may not go into their class rooms before 7.20a.m. to leave their books or during the interval to take their tiffin.
  • Children will leave the class rooms for the interval and school at the end of school in silence and in order.
  • They will participate in the meditation at the end of the day respectfully and will observe perfect silence during that time.
  • On the staircases the right side will be taken always when going up or down.
  • When moving one place to another in the school during lessons silence should be observed, so that teaching and learning is done with the least disturbance.
  • The whole class must move out together in changing class rooms when it is necessary.
  • It is the responsibility of the children to clean their class rooms daily.
  • After coming to school and even during the interval children may not leave the school premises without permission.
  • No children may be in the Home Science room, Library or in the Laboratories before or after school or during the interval.
  • No children will be allowed to leave the school during school hours without a written request from the parents. The excuse for the absence from school even for half a day must be noted in student note book and signed by the parents. The student note book must be brought to school daily.
  • No letters, messages, parcels or any such things may be brought to school for a child by another. No newspapers, magazines, periodicals or books may be circulated or anything be sold in the school without permission from the principal. Such dealings will be regarded as serious offences.
  • Every student must pay annually, Rs.60.00 as facilities fees, Rs.30.00 as house membership fees. These payments should be made by the end of January every year. These school rules have been observed by thousands of children who have gone before us and have been drawn for the good of the children and for the smooth running of the school. Therefore it is our responsibility to obey and so observe these rules daily.
